Poor Response (POR)

Ovarian rejuvenation techniques like Ovarian stem cell therapy, Intra ovarian BAPC are novel methods, which we practice to yield more oocytes in those women with Diminished Ovarian Reserve and enable them fulfill the dream of self parentage rather than donor eggs. In vitro maturation of oocytes in specialized culture system ( IVM) , has been found beneficial in couples with recurrent failures in conventional IVF and is one among the unique protocols which we adopt to help you foster a child from your own gamete .

Recurrent Implantation Failure (RIF)

RIF or the failure to achieve pregnancy with repeated transfer of good quality embryos is attributed to either uterine or embryo factors. We use advanced techniques for evaluating gamete and embryo quality. Couples are evaluated with PGS with next generation sequencing (NGS) to rule out the possibility of genetic abnormalities (N) and to obtain DNA Fragmentation Index for ascertaining sperm quality. 3D and 4D USG are performed under expert sonologist to rule out uterine pathologies if any, We have an experienced senior laparoscopic surgeon, who has performed over 20,000 laparoscopic surgeries for the diagnosis and treatment of various uterine and adnexal disorders. Besides, we also house a panel of experienced fertility specialists, senior embryologist, reproductive surgeon and counsellor who adopt a multidisciplinary approach in addressing the different issues of our patients.

Fertility Preservation

Increased incidence of cancer among youngsters and impact of cancer treatment on reproductive system is major concern in today’s world. With the latest advancements in cancer therapy, this deadly disease can be cured by a combination treatment involving surgery and/or chemotherapy. However, these treatment strategies can be gonadotoxic, with a high risk of premature ovarian failure and testicular failure leading to problems of infertility in both men and women. Early detection of cancers and pre-treatment fertility preservation can help these couples achieve the dream of having a baby after such treatments . CRAFT offers fertility preservation options for post pubertal male (sperm cryopreservation) and post menarche female (oocyte cryopreservation, embryo cryopreservation and ovarian tissue preservation), thus expanding the range of possibilities for parenthood in future.

Unexplained infertility (UIF)

UIF is condition of patients were all standard investigations such as ovulation, total patency and semen analysis are found to be normal. For an infertile couple, a UIF diagnosis can be very frustrating. This often leads them to come to a conclusion that, there are no treatment exist for their problems, since there is no explanation for the cause of infertility We do advanced investigation to understand the possibility of biological factors influencing the fertility by assessing sperm and oocyte as well as endometrial deficiencies which enables us to effectively diagnose the exact causes for infertility in UIF cases.

ASCOT: Autologous Stem Cell Ovarian Transfer

ASCOT (Autologous Stem Cell Ovarian Transfer) is a highly effective stem cell treatment for women with very low ovarian reserve or a reduced number of remaining eggs. This condition can arise due to advanced age, previous ovary surgeries, or genetic factors that result in fewer immature eggs. These cases are typically identified by assessing the Antral Follicle Count (AFC) through a transvaginal scan or by testing blood for Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) levels.
  • When serum AMH levels drop below 1.2 ng/ml or AFC is less than 7, the patient is diagnosed with Diminished Ovarian Reserve (DOR), and the recommended treatment is typically IVF.
  • In women under 35 years old with an AMH level of 2 to 3 ng/ml and 15 to 20 total AFC, pregnancy rates can be as high as 50-60% per IVF transfer and 80-90% cumulatively.
  • For women above 42 years, or with an AFC of 3 to 5 and AMH levels below 0.1 ng/ml, pregnancy rates drop to 5-10%. In such cases, they are often advised to use donor eggs.
We have been successfully performing ASCOT since 2017, offering this advanced stem cell treatment to help numerous women conceive, even those with critically low ovarian reserves or who had multiple failed IVF cycles.
Our hospitals in Kochi and Kodungallore are dedicated to offering advanced stem cell treatment options to increase your chances of conceiving and starting a family.

How ASCOT Improves Fertility?

Stem cell ovarian rejuvenation through ASCOT, a revolutionary stem cell treatment, can improve pregnancy chances by 25% to 40%.
  • We have been performing ASCOT since 2017.
  • After a successful pilot study, it is now a routine procedure, and we have gained confidence in its effectiveness.

Success Stories from Craft

  1. Three successful deliveries in women with AMH levels as low as 0.03 ng/ml.
  2. A foreign patient delivered a healthy baby at age 50 after undergoing ASCOT, following 15 failed IVF cycles in various countries.
  3. Spontaneous pregnancies have also been reported following ASCOT.
  4. Several patients, initially recommended for donor eggs, have successfully conceived with their own eggs after the procedure.

How Stem Cells Are Prepared

  1. Bone Marrow Aspiration: Bone marrow is aspirated from the patient’s thigh bone.
  2. Stem Cell Preparation: In the lab, hematopoietic stem cells and growth factors are isolated. This process takes approximately 3 hours.
  3. Injection into the Ovaries: The prepared concentrate is injected into the patient’s ovaries through laparoscopy or a transvaginal ultrasound scan.
Within 2 to 3 months, more than 50% of patients experience improved ovarian response to conventional ovulation induction treatments.
